When the degree of P(x) and Q(x) in a rational function, are one then it is called a linear function.

So, the linear fraction is defined as

        f(x) = (ax+b)/(cx+d)

Domain of linear fraction function is R - {-d/c}

And its range is R - {a/c} (Therefore x = (b-dy)/(cy-a)).
