JEE Main 2022 is conducted in two phases/sessions: Session 1 is conducted in the month of June, from 23 June 2022 to 29 June 2022 and the second session is to be conducted in July, from 21 July 2022 to 30 July 2022. Students who wish to participate in the JEE Main examination have to fill out the application forms for each session. Given below are the details of JEE Main Application Form 2022.

JEE Main 2022 Application Form Details 

 

The JEE Main 2022 Application form filling is divided into three steps:

  • Step 1 - Registration Form  
  • Step 2 - Application Form (Filling in personal details, applying for examination cities, qualification details, additional details (if any), and document upload)  
  • Step 3 - Fee Payment

 

Details/ documents you need to provide for JEE Main 2022 application form: 

  • Personal details like nationality, gender, category, minority status, date of birth, etc. 
  • Details of your Class 10 and Class 12 like percentage, year of qualification, exam code, etc. 
  • Other details like Adhar number, parents’ details, family income, etc. 
  • Documents like Photograph, Signature, Class 10 certificate, Class 12 mark sheet, Proof of Date of Birth, Caste Certificate for SC, ST, OBC
  • Information like Aadhar card number, Passport, Domicile Certificate, Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI

 

Students CANNOT make changes to the following information in their application form once submitted: 

  • Name
  • Permanent Address
  • Correspondence Address
  • Mobile Number
  • Email Address

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2022 Application Form 

 

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed the 12th board or equivalent from any recognized board.

Age Limit

There is no age limit for applying to the JEE Main examination.

Year of Passing

Candidates who have qualified for the 12th examination or equivalent in 2020, 2021 are only eligible to apply for the examination.

Minimum Number of subjects in the last qualifying Examination

The applicant must have passed the 12th examination or equivalent with a minimum of 5 subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Language, and an optional subject

No. of Attempts

Candidates can appear 6 times for the exam for 3 consecutive years.

 

JEE Main 2022 Application Form: Three most important things

 

Payment for each session: Students have to apply for the JEE Main Sessions separately as the registrations for respective sessions will open. If a candidate is applying for the first session they have to pay the exam fee for that session. But if the candidate wants to apply for Session 2 they will have to again make the payment. 

 

Confirmation page: Once the payment for the session has been successful, a confirmation page will appear. If that does not happen, the candidate must consult their bank/concerned payment gateway. 

 

Special instructions: 1. The candidates must first read the instructions provided for filling the application form. 

  1. The application will be submitted online mode only. 
  2. Students have to submit the application forms on  https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/  

 

Steps to fill the application form for JEE 2022-2023:

 

Step 1: Fill the application form

Visit the official website of JEE Main and start filling the application form. First, read the instructions carefully and confirm. Then, fill out the authentication form, fill in JEE Main application details like your personal details, and mailing address, and then choose a password. Add your academic details and then review the form. To confirm the submission of the form, you have to enter an OTP sent to your mobile number. Verify and submit the form. 

 

Step 2: Upload images

You have to scan and upload the following on JEE Main application portal:

  • Recent photograph
  • Signatures
  • 12th admit card/ marksheet/ certificate

 There are certain instructions regarding the size of the photos that are to be uploaded. The scanned photograph size must be between 10 KB to 200 KB. It must also include the name and date of taking the photograph. 

 

Step 3: Fee Payment 

Before this step, it will ask you to verify your email id via an OTP. Once you do it, you will be able to pay the exam fee. 

 

Step 4: Confirmation page 

Now, you can download the confirmation page and take a print of it. Once the payment is deposited, you can also download the acknowledgement receipt. In case the Acknowledgment Page is not generated, the candidate should contact the concerned bank/branch to update his/her transaction.

  • What is the mode of examination for JEE Main 2022? 

The JEE Main 2022 examination is conducted in online mode except for the Drawing section in B.Arch  which is Pen & Paper based. Most of the questions in JEE Main 2022 are multiple choice questions. 

 

  • What is the duration of the JEE Main 2022 examination? 

The duration of the JEE Main 2022 examination is 3 hours each for B.E/B. Tech, B.Arch, and B.Plan examinations. If you want to appear in both Paper 2A B.Arch and Paper 2B B.Plan, they are allotted a time of 3 hours and 30 minutes. They have to solve questions of 4 sections in this time period namely – Mathematics, Aptitude, Planning, and Drawing. 

 

  • What is the marking scheme for JEE Main Paper 1 (B.Tech/B.E.)?

JEE Main Paper 1 (B.Tech/B.E.) is of 300 marks. The paper is divided into three sections - Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each section has 30 questions out of which 25 need to be attempted. Each section is of 100 marks.
