Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad (MNIT Allahabad), also known as NIT Allahabad is an engineering institution established in 1961. It currently has accreditation from AICTE, NBA, INI. Many students might not know this but the institute was established by the first prime minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru and the institution is named after his father, Motilal Nehru.
The NRF ranking of this institution is 41 and it is amongst a few institutions in India that have supercomputers. Currently, it has two supercomputers, PARAM 8000 and PARAM 10000. The institution offers many different courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, MBA, MSc. (Mathematics and Scientific Computing) and Master of Social work (MSW) courses and also registers candidates for the Ph.D. degree as well.
