1. What is JEE Main? 

JEE Main is an entrance examination conducted for getting admissions into the best engineering colleges in India like IIITs, NITs, IITs, and more. It is organised by NTA (National Testing Agency). JEE Main is generally conducted twice every year in January and April. In 2022, JEE Main was held in the months of June and July. 

2. What are the eligibility criteria for JEE Main? 

JEE Main 2022 included the following eligibility criteria: 

• Candidates must have passed the 12th board or equivalent from any recognized board.
• There is no age limit for applying to the JEE Main examination.
• Candidates who have qualified for the 12th examination or equivalent in 2020, or 2021 are only eligible to apply for the examination.
• The applicant must have passed the 12th examination or equivalent with a minimum of 5 subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Language, and an optional subject
• Candidates can appear 6 times for the exam for 3 consecutive years.

3. What is the mode of the JEE Main examination? 

JEE Main is conducted in online mode, that is students have to mark their answers on the computer, except for the drawing paper in B. Arch which is pen and paper-based. 

4. How many papers are there in the JEE Main? 

JEE Main includes three papers. Paper 1 for B.E/B.Tech admissions, Paper 2A for B.Arch admissions and Paper 2B for B.Planning admissions.
