New Delhi: As requested by the Madhya Pradesh government, the CBSE has decided to extend the last date of online submission of JEE Main 2014 application form from December 26, 2013 to January 6, 2014. JEE Main 2014 has been scheduled to be conducted on April 6 in the offline mode and on April 9, 11, 12 and 19 in the online mode.
Madhya Pradesh has decided to scrap off its PET (Pre-Engineering Test) which was conducted by the MP Professional Examination Board (MPPEB). This entrance test used to screen students for the state’s engineering colleges. MP colleges will now accept students on the basis of their JEE scores.
Until now, only about 75,000 students had applied to compete for one lakh seats available in different engineering colleges in MP.
The extension of the deadline is a big relief for students who have not submitted their JEE Main 2014 application form yet. They now have about 10 more days in hand to apply for the exam.
