Putting the lid on all the tall claims of the government in curbing suicides committed by overstressed students is the news of the death of an Indian school student in Sharjah.
Right when the concerned authorities of India were struggling to control suicides rates in education institutions, this news comes as a real shocker, which, needless to say, will bring bad name to all the concerned authorities for their inability to control the situation. In fact, the situation seems to have gone out of control with Indian students studying abroad are also resorting to ending their life.
The news has sent shockwaves across India. 16 year school student AS who was found hanging in a utility room was a student of an Indian school in Dubai.
He was wearing his school uniform when his dead body was found by local police.
According to the police report, the student had a CBSE Indian board exam to attend in his school at around noon.
His mother thought he was already in school for the examination when school authority informed her that her son had not attended the examination. The police was later informed who tracked down the boy’s body in one of the building’s in Sharjah.
The local police tracked the boy with the help of his cell phone, which was working when they were informed about the missing boy. He was found dead with no signs of life.
The father of the student identified the body and later confirmed his death. After the forensic report, the body will be sent to India for last rites.
