New Delhi: If you are preparing for IIT JEE 2014, it is important to know the rules related to IIT JEE eligibility criteria and admission procedure.
All of us already know that candidates who are in the Top 1,50,000 rank holders in JEE Main (including all categories) are eligible for JEE Advanced next year. The JEE Main rank is determined using JEE scores and board marks of a student. A student also has to be within the Top 20 percentile in their respective boards.
But there are other important points you should know about:
- Candidates who appeared for IIT JEE 2012 are not eligible for JEE Advanced 2014.
- Candidates who successfully cracked IIT JEE 2013 and were allotted a seat but did not withdraw within the specified deadline will also be considered eligible for IIT JEE 2014. However, if they did not pay the admission fee and certificate verification, they might sit for the exam next year.
- Candidates who gave their board exams in 2013 and are going to appear for re-examination next year may site for JEE 2014 if they appear for all the subjects in the qualifying examination.
JEE Main 2014 is slated to be held on April 6, 2014 while IIT JEE 2014 will be held on May 25, 2014.
