New Delhi: Anand Kumar, founder of Super 30 in Patna, Bihar denounces the present education system in India as favoring the rich. It said that prevailing system of screening students by the Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE) is inefficient and fails to promote students with natural talent and creativity.
He said that the two-tier IIT JEE entrance exam as well as the Top 20 percentile norm in which the students who are not in the Top 20 percentile list of their respective boards at Class 12 level are not allowed to sit for JEE Avanced fail the meritorious students who fail to meet the criteria.
According to Kumar, the number of attempts a student gets to crack JEE is just limited to two which is not fair.
Government schools in rural areas are in bad shape. How can anyone then expect that the students from these schools will be able to achieve the feat of being in the Top 20 percentile list of their state boards and crack IIT JEE in just two attempts?
Moreover, the higher fees for the offline JEE Main exam (Rs 1,000) than the online exam (Rs 600) is also unjustifiable. Many students in rural areas do not have access to internet facility. Higher fees for offline exams tilt the equation in the favor of rich students from urban areas.
Super 30 is planning its expansion by increasing its batch size and launching online facility to reach more and more under-privileged students. However, there are no plans yet to open branches in other parts of India.

I totally agree with respected anand kumar sir.
There are various people who talk about going to Kota or Hyderabad to prepare for iit-jee.
Previously the screening test were also of much higher level then they are today and today in some institutes eventhough they don’t pass the screening test they just get admission with a little bit extra money.
Now i’m in 10th standard but i promise you aditya sir and anand sir that i will give the entrances with great efforts and after my whole graduation i’m surely going to devote some part of my life to you people and the great work that is being done by you atmost as i can.
