Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Google CEO Sundar Pichai were to visit India on December 4, 2015. But now, they might land in New Delhi a little later.
Pichai’s visit is said to be his first international visit after taking over the top job at Google. It has to be an official trip and he is scheduled to attend a dinner at Rashtrapati Bhavan with President Pranab Mukherjee. Pichai is to meet PM Narendra Modi too and has to share his vision for India. He is expected to announce a few initiatives for Digital India project too.
Pichai has already met PM Modi in September when the latter visited headquarters of Google in Mountain View, California. Google has agreed to provide free wifi at 400 railway stations in India. Pichai’s keynote address – Google for India – is scheduled for December 16 in New Delhi.
Satya Nadella is believed to be coming to India to spend some time with his parents in Hyderabad. He had come to India last month too – on an official trip – to attend an event of Microsoft called ‘Flagship Future Unleashed’ in which he met important customers, partners and developers of the company. On this visit, Nadella will visit the largest technology incubator in India – T-Hub – which is in Hyderabad.
T-Hub was launched jointly by NALSAR University of Law, ISB and IIT Hyderabad and houses over 130 startups.
