Daisy is really happy today. She is among top scorer of AIPMT list. It was not an instant magic. She revealed certain of the methodologies that she use to follow to learn biology. Here let’s take a look how she prepared for this exam.

Biology is more near to real life. Daisy has a totally different outlook towards biology.  During the time when she learns about many concepts of biology like digestive system, respiratory system, circulatory system she actually relate it to her body, how it is working.

Functioning of human body is indeed an amazing natural phenomenon. Relate it, learn it!

Daisy knows; how amazing it is to have a life.During the time when one is learning about how fertilization actually occurred? How life came into life?  How cell division is controlling growth and development of whole body? Isn’t it amazing to know these phenomena? Better you keep it related to yourself.

Now your brain is going to make this information long lasting!!

Visualize it, learn it. Consider you are learning about any biological process like muscle movement, pathways of respiration in plants, other than cramming it visualize it, then you write it in your own words. One more thing you can do is, watch videos, documentaries on the particular topic. It is surely going to help you out in aremarkable way.

Being creative.Marvelous thing about Daisy is that she has a divergent thinking. Certain questions always strike her mind. Why it is so? How does it work? What is the benefit and harm of food that I am taking?

You can relate the concept of biotechnology with Pizza. Yes! it is prepared with the help of microorganisms. Bread, cheese, vinegar, curd etc.; prepared in this way. All you need to open your mind.

The most remarkable thing I like about Daisy is that she doesn’t leave learning in classroom.That is what I am expecting you to do. You know this is the psychology of learning; when you understand it, you remember it!

So whatever is being imparted in classroom understand it properly. Revise it over again at home.
Trust me; your efficiency is going to increase.

Explore the nature, it teaches us!  Whenever Daisy gets a chance to have a visit to Park, Forests, national park, zoological park; she goes. Even I suggest the same. Have a visit; observe life; Plants & animals. Study their characters. Find out the characters of insects too. Click Pictures. Now you can easily learn biological classification. 

Why don’t you reward yourself? No! No! Not just like that. Set a target. Accomplish that. Now you can have the reward. This is indeed a worthy approach for doing your study. Consider, you are learning the topic ‘Photosynthesis in plants’. After you are done with this topic, you can take a nap or you can eat your favorite dish or you can play for a while or whatever you like. Do it only when you are done with that particular topic.

You won’t even realize when you became more efficient in study :) 

v  Kitchen is Daisy’s favorite laboratory! Explore the fun of Biology over here.  You can learn about property of fats, sugar or any of spices. You can extract DNA at home too with the help of saliva. Add salt to saliva. Then you can add grapefruit juice & few drops ofalcohol. Mix the mixture and what you seeis DNA floating at surface.

You can observe microorganism’s growth from curd, contaminated bread, and pickles.

Now scratch your brain & think what else you can do!!
