Success follows hard work and determination. Sometimes, hardships help people to work harder, walk faster and reach higher. As the saying goes, ‘brick walls are placed in your path so that you can climb over them’. It seems as if this paradigm has come alive in the form of Vinay Sravan Yadav, a resident of old Gajuwaka, Vizag. Vinay’s father, D Suryanarayana, is a humble class IV worker at a Government Hospital for mental care in old Gajuwaka, and earns less than Rs. 10,000 per month. He has been working at the hospital since the past 15 years, and the thought of his son reaching the upper reaches of higher education seemed an impossibility.
Not so for Vinay, who had been dreaming of getting into an IIT right since his IX standard. Perseverance, hard work and determination finally paid off, and Vinay scored a rank of 166 in the Joint Entrance Examination this year. All the years in which his father had to fight financial difficulties seemed over for Vinay, as he took admission in Civil Engineering at IIT Kanpur.
Vinay’s story serves as an inspiration for the lakhs of aspirants who try every year to score a good rank in the IIT-JEE. The bright spark has conclusively proven that while facilities can be a definite advantage in getting a good rank, they are not the deciding factor. Ultimately what matters is one’s own dedication, vision and grit.
Can I crack Jee main within 10 months from now…..???…Ua valuable comments will be appreciated.
