EAMCET counselling scheduled on 25th August in Telangana

Telangana, a newly formed state is now facing teething issues and due to that it has selected Vijayawada as the temporary capital. It is relocating the offices in Vijayawada. Kamineni Srinivas, the Health Minister of Telangana has recently announced that the Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test would start from 25th August. The final dates for the medical counselling would be taken on the 18th of August.
Previously, this state was considered as the part of Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education has flagged the EAMCET medical counselling process already. But Telangana formed the Telangana State Council of Higher Education and sought after the permission of the Supreme Court to delay the test for the academic session 2014 by 2 months. But Telangana government has to face the refusal from the SC. Telangana government has been asked to speed up the entire medical counselling process and complete the same within 31st August.
During the commencement of the office at the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Mr. Srinivas announced to the press that the process is asked to expedite keeping in mind the interest of the candidates seeking to enrol in the professional courses. He also stated that the Chief Minister of the state will set up the camp office soon. T Ravi Raju, NTRUHS Vice-Chancellor, Haribabu, Vishakapatnam MP, BJP workers and Registrar S Babulal were also present at the inauguration ceremony.
