New Delhi: According to the latest GATE 2014 notification, admit cards for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2014, conducted jointly by the seven zonal IITs and IISc for admission to their Master-level and postgraduate courses in engineering disciplines, will be available on its official website (http://gate.iitkgp.ac.in/gate2014/admitcard.php) from December 18, 2013
The seven zonal IITs include the IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee.
Students will have to download their GATE 2014 admit card as the exam authorities will not send it by post or e-mail.
To download the admit card, candidates must:
- Log on to official website at and navigate to the Admit Card option.
- Click on the link, enter the required details like name, date of birth and registration number, and submit it.
- Check the Admit card that is generated diligently for correctness of the information. In case of any error, inform the concerned authority immediately.
- Print out the admit card and keep it safe.
GATE is considered highly competitive and one of the most difficult exams. It will be conducted between February 1 to March 2, 2014. The exam will have duration of three hours and will be conducted in two shifts:
- 9 am to 12 noon, and
- 2 pm to 5 pm.
Candidates are advised to be present at the examination centre half an hour before the scheduled timing. They must carry their admit card along with them as they will not be allowed to sit for the exam without it.
