Finally the wait for 12.5 lakh engineering aspirants got over with the announcement of All India rankings of the JEE Main 2014 on July 8 by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
Srinidhi Prabhu, a student of Narayana PU College at CV Raman Nagar in Bangalore has bagged the first rank in the JEE (Main) examination. A native of Udupi district, Srinidhi is the son of Shashidhar Prabhu who works as a finance head in the Indian Academy of Science while his mother is a scientist at DRDO Bangalore.

The All India JEE (Advanced) topper, Chitraang Murdia from Rajasthan, stood at the 38th position in the JEE (Main) rank list.
There has been a delay in the announcement of the results but now the All India rankings for JEE (Main) will be considered by the IITs and NITs and other prestigious institutes as well for admissions to the undergraduate engineering and architecture courses.
The JEE (Main) final ALL India Rank 2014 is based on a combination of JEE Mains scores (60% weightage) and Class 12 marks (40% weightage).
Aspirants can check their All India ranking by selecting their education board, entering their JEE (Main) roll number, application number and date of birth. Candidates will be required to upload their official mark sheets in case of any inconsistency.
The JEE Main counselling for this year consists of four steps of seat allotment followed by a spot admission round.
