Vegetable Vendor helps JEE aspirants to increase Memory Power
January 25, 2016
21-year old Suresh Kumar Sharma used to sell vegetables not long ago. He appeared for IIT JEE three year ago but could not crack the exam. Today, he is training the teachers and faculty members of coaching institutes in Kota on how to increase memory power.
Surprised! After all, many Kota teachers have excellent academic record and are IITian themselves.
Suresh has made a place in Limca Book of Records for learning the value of Pi till 70,030th digit in just 17 hours. This is equivalent to learning about 7,000 mobile numbers at once.
“I don’t train JEE aspirants or coaching institutes on how to do rote learning. I teach them how to remember things using the ancient Vedic technique of associating each thing with a picture“, claims Suresh. He also claims that with his learning method, JEE aspirants and teachers find it easier to remember points, paragraphs, Maths & Physics concepts, periodic tables and hundreds of chemical equations.
Suresh hails from the Mansa Rampura village. He had been an average student at school. He studied in a government school (in Hindi medium) and could only secure 60% marks in Class 10 and 71% marks in Class 12. However, he had been able to secure more marks than anyone else in the entire school or village.
After Class 12, he went to Kota to join the cheapest coaching institute in the city to help with his JEE preparation. Suicide by a student in his hostel changed his life. “This was the third suicide case in 15 days in Kota. It was heartbreaking to be the witness the tragedy. This student has chose to die because he failed to clear IIT JEE. I wanted to quit right then but my family had raised quite a loan by then. I could not clear JEE and went into depression“, says Suresh.
Suresh chose to do something for himself and all the other JEE aspirants to. His grandfather was a Sanskrit expert and taught him few Vedic techniques to increase memory power. Suresh too devoted himself to research Vedic as well as modern techniques to learn and remember techniques.
Suresh’s technique is a hot commodity in Kota today. Suresh is a first-year student of Engineering too.
