The national Institute of Technology, Goa, also known as NITG is one of the newly formed NITs in the country by the Government of India. Founded in the year 2010 NITG commenced its first batch in 2010-11. NITG offers B.Tech degrees in various disciplines and the admission procedure is same as that of other NITs in the country. JEE ranks are the factor deciding the admission into the NITG. 50% of reservations for the students of Goa and remaining seats are open for students across the country. Students at NITG involve in various technical activities along with the cultural activities as well. As per the present batch of students, there are a total of 298 students enrolled in the B.Tech programmes at NIT Goa.
