Candidates willing to apply for a seat in the engineering colleges of Karnataka state must satisfy one of the following eligibility criteria for selection.
Candidates must have cleared the 10+2 with compulsory subjects (mathematics and physics)
Among other subjects the candidates must have cleared the Bio-technology / Electronics / Computer-Science / Chemistry / Biology as optional subjects along with English as one of the languages.
Candidates must have scored 45% in aggregates in the optional subjects in order to meet the Karnataka CET Eligibility
Candidates must fulfill the Domicile Criteria as specified by the Karnataka Examinations Authority

Candidates appearing KCET 2019 can avail all the needed information from the Karnataka CET Brochure.
Detailed information regarding the application forms for KCET 2019 are given below, along with the filling, submission and the documents needed to be attached with the forms are stated below.
The application form for KCET 2019 is a combination of both OMR and ICR concepts and hence candidates are required to fill all the details carefully.
The candidates belonging to Caste I Category are required to produce the caste certificate during the verification at the helpline centers.
KCET 2019 Applications Form Procedure
For candidates staying in Karnataka the application form for KCET 2019 can be availed from various schools and colleges located in the state. The application form shall be attached with the brochure and can be availed by paying INR 650 (for general) and INR 500 for (SC, ST and OBC).
For candidates staying outside Karnataka can avail the application forms by sending an application along with the self addressed envelope.
Candidates are required to download the Bank Challan and pay the fees of the application form in any of the branches of Central Bank of India/ State Bank of Mysore/ Indian Bank.
After submitting the filled in application form at the respective school and colleges the candidates can collect the Admit Cards for the KCET 2019 for those schools and colleges itself by showing the ID proof.
Syllabus
The syllabus for KCET 2019 shall be based on the class 12th board course structure. The subjects to prepare for the KCET 2019 shall be Math, Physics, Biology and Chemistry. The question paper for KCET 201+ shall have the 1st and 2nd PUC syllabi as prescribed by the Department of pre-university education of Karnataka State.
Exam Pattern
The Karnataka CET 2019 shall be conducted in 4 different sessions and will have questions from 4 subjects.
The test will be conducted on two consecutive days, 1st day Biology and Mathematics examinations shall be conducted in the 2 sessions.
On the second day Physics and Chemistry examination shall be conducted on the remaining 2 sessions.
The test session shall carry 60 marks for each paper and 80 minutes shall be given to solve each of the paper.
Each question will carry one mark and there shall be no negative mark deducted for wrong answer attempted.
The questions asked in the exam shall be of the objective type with multiple choices.
The question paper in each subject will be in 16 different versions and all the questions are mandatory to be attempted.
The KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) is conducted by the KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority) for the admission procedures in the undergraduate courses for session 2019. The rank predictor for the Karnataka CET 2019 shall shortly be compiled. The candidates shall note that KCET Engineering rank shall be dependent on the marks scored in the KCET in the subjects Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry along with the marks scored in the PUC exam.
KCET 2019 Results
The KCET 2019 Results have been declared on of Last week of May, 2019. You can check your result on the official site.
Candidates are required to register for the KCET 2019 counseling procedure after the declaration of results.
The KCET 2019 counseling shall be conducted in 2 rounds
Candidates are required to carry the original documents and get them verified at the notified Help Centers and obtain the verification slips/
Candidates are also required to carry the DD of the required amount as the fees for the first year to be paid at the time of counseling.
