The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) is conducted by the Director of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai, which is designated as the Competent Authority for the written examinations by the Government of Maharashtra. It is a single exam conducted for selection to all the degree courses in Engineering, Health Science, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry. This year, MHT CET will be conducted on 2nd week of May 2019 (Tentative).
There are two Competitive Authorities who will preside Counseling and Allotment of Seats however – DMER for Health Sciences, and Director of Technical Education, Mumbai for Engineering and Pharmacy.

MHT CET will consist of two papers of one and half hours each:
Questions will be of objective type with multiple choices
The question paper willl contain 150 questions of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics
Mathematics will have 50 questions and each correct answer will be awarded two marks.
Physics & Chemistry both will have 50 questions each and each correct answer will be awarded one mark.
The questions asked in MHT CET will be objective type with 4 options in each question. Students are not marked for any wrong question and therefore no negative marking is done in the exam, So the students are allowed to attempt all the questions. The syllabus of the exam will be same as HSC Examination of Board of Maharashtra.
