since ray stricks normally =90 degree to interface
angle with normal =0 degrees and sin0=0 and sin i = n1 sin r
then sin r must = 0 the r=0 degree with normal so light will go staright.

Dear student
According to snell's law Sin i/sin r= constant Where i=angle of incidence r=angle of refraction When a light is incident on the interface of two transparent media then the angle of incidence and angle of refraction are zero. Regards
