what is isolation of ores specifically??Does this process involve only clacination and roasting??

to understand, an ore is a mineral rock which contains a specific mineral in a major ratio now the specific mineral comprises of the ore and which we are concern about but the mineral rock contains other minerals also, which we need to isolate to extract ore from it. so we can say that isolation of ores, in general, is the removal of unwanted substances from the ore to get the desired mineral.
calcination and roasting are the processes that are carried out in various ways based on the requirement or need of a specific ore, this process is used to oxidize the ore for removal of some unwanted substances in the ore
