What is the difference between variation and mutation?

Variation is the term used for the change which occurs in the genome within a species. Jut like we all humans are from the same species, but our characters vary from people to people depending upon culture and the place where we live.
A mutation is the term used for the change which occurs in the genome of an individual organism.
