Dear student,
Human brain is divided into two parts, the left cerebral hemisphere, and the right cerebral hemisphere. The left cerebral hemisphere controls the right portion of the body and the left portion is controlled by the right hemisphere. So the stimulation that arises from the touch will stimulate the left somatic sensory area and vice versa.
