Dear Student,

Since origin in on the elipse therefore assum P(0,0) on elipse,
Let S1 = (3,3) and S2 = (-4,4)
Since we know that, PS1 + PS2 =2a
or2a = 7root(2) – --(1)

also S1S2 = 2ae
or 2ae = 5 root(2) --- (2)
Divide (2) by (1) and get e = 5/7.
