If a straight line 3x+4y=24 intersects the axes at A and B and line 4x+3y=24 intersects the axes at C and D, then the number of possible parabolas to draw through A B C D are\t0\t1\t2\t4

On plotting both the eqns. we would get two intercepts ion x-axis and y-axis respectively.
And from these 4 points it is perhaps not possible that a parabola would pass through it.
Because a parabola has maximum degree is 2 and since it could have only one intercept on y axis.
it s not possible.
Therfore no. of possible parabolas is 0.

Equation of the curve passing through the points A, B, C, D is(3x + 4y – 24)(4x + 3y – 24) – (lamd)xy = 0If it represents a parabola then the quadratic terms must form a perfect square.(lamda) = 1 or 49
