Answer, Let us assume that the equation of parabola is y^2=4ax and the equation of tangent in the slope form is y=mx+(a/m). As we know that the parametric point on the parabola is given by (a/m^2, 2a/m)Now by substituting the coordinates of the given point in the equation of tangent by which we can find the value of m and then apply the distance formula.
