Hi,
In gymnosperms all the male and female cones appears the same,
where as the sizes of it deterimes,
male cones are small and degenerates later to release of microspores.
Female cones remains longer and contains eggs (naked seeds) for the next plant to be produced.
Internal structure is different in the male and female cones.
