Photosystem I and Photosystem II are two componentin thyalkoids of chloroplast organelle.
They help in absorption of sunlight, excitation of electrons and finally transfer it to the reducing equivalent NADP forming NADPH,during Light reaction.
Among the two photosystems
PSII has an additional function of photolysis, because of which it breaks down H2O molecule into 2H+ and ½ Oxygen molecule.
PSI can only absorb and transfer the Sunlight.
Over all understanding is PSI and PSII help in converting light energy into chemical energy(NADPH) during Light reaction.
