The proteinaceous hormone secreted by ovaries are progestrone and relaxin whereas follicle stimulating hormone is secreted by pituitary gland. Progestrone is involved in menstrual cycle, embryogenesis and pregnancy whereas relaxin is involved in hemodynamic changes that occur during pregnancy.
