Hi Sakshi, Thank you for asking
In case of some plants, generations alter between Sporophyte and gamestophyte. Which means that one generation will develop from spores and next generation will develop from gametophyte.
During sporophyte generation, two different type of spores are produced from plants: Megaspore (Large spore) which develops into female plant and microspore (small spore) which develops intomale plants.
Hope the answer of the question

@ sakshi the megaspore mother cell , commonly known as megasporocyte , is a diploid cell in plant in which meiosis will occur . after meiosis it will result in formation of four megaspore , that spore develops into female gametophyte after that .
