- The skull is composed of two sets of bones. They are cranial (8) and facial (14), that totals to 22 bones. The cranial bones include 1 ethmoid bone, 1 frontal bone, 1 occipital bone, 2 parietal bones, 1 sphenoid bone, 2 temporal bones.
- Hence zygomatic bone is not a cranial bone. These bones also help form the lateral walls and floors of the orbits (eye).
