Dear Student,
y = (1 + sinx – cosx)/(1 + sinx + cosx)
y' = [(1 + sinx + cosx)(sinx + cosx) - (1 + sinx – cosx)(cosx – sinx)]/(1 + sinx + cosx)2
 = (2 + 2sinx)/(2 + 2sinx + 2cosx + 2sinxcosx)
 = (1 + sinx)/(1 + sinx)(1 + cosx)
 = 1/(1 + cosx)
