@ NAG
the reduced echlon form of matrices are also called as row cannonical form ,
the matrix are said to be row cannonical form if it satisfy the following condition .
1- every leading coefficient is 1 and is the only non zero entry in the column .
let me to give an example so, that the thing become crystal clear to you
let us assume a 2*2 matrices
[1   3 ]    operation no 1 = add -2 times the first row to the 2nd row ,
[2  4 ]
u will get the new matrix as [1  3 ]
                                            [0  -2 ]
step 2 – multiply the 2nd row by -1/2 . u will get the matrix as   [1  3]
                                                                                                   [0  1 ]
step 3 = add -3 times the 2nd row to the first row ..
u will get the matrix as  [1  0 ]
                                      [0  1 ]
thats the answer ,
if my answer is helpfull then kindly approve it ..
and if not understood anything , then feel free to ask ..
ALL THE BEST ..
