Does polar lie inside the conic section? Polar is the locus of intersection of two tangents from the extremities of the chord, but tangents become secants if they pass from inside of a conic section.

If a point P lies on its own polar line then P is on the conic section , Each line has with respect to a non degenerated conic section , exactly ne pole ,
Yes you are correct , It will become secant .
Read the definition of Polar carefully.
