Hi,

According to the question which looks related to the chapter functions. ( And assuming that the question is correctly typed)
This case is possible only when : a=b=c=d but with this case no estimation about e can be made as function can be any function.

Going to the second case, ie.e assuming that the values a, b, c, d are not all equal to each other than f(x) is a constant function but than f(e) can not be 5.

So there is no value of e possible.
