About Placements:

There is ample scope for well qualified resource persons in the country and abroad. The research wings of many multinational companies require young dynamic polymer professionals who are capable of fullfilling their goal.

 
Majority of the students are well placed in reputed industries like Apollo Tyres, Asian Paintss, MRF etc. and multinational companies like Akzo Nobel, GE Plastics etc. Some of them have got placement in esteemed research organisations and industries abroad.

About Salary:

Polymer engineers are offered with high competitive salary, increment apart from other perks and benefits. The average salary of a fresh polymer engineering graduate depends on the type of employer i.e. government or private. The starting salary of a B.Tech holder varies somewhere between Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 15,000 per month excluding other allowances.

Working experience, qualifications, ability are important factors in determining the pay level. Those who are working in the private sector are paid more than the public sector. Senior Polymer engineers/scientists with more than five years of working experience can earn anywhere in between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 80,000 per month.
