would like to know whether private tutions are better than coaching class for preparation of IIT JEE.I am studyingin Ahmedabad.

I ll advise for coaching coz for the IIT preparations, one needs proper guidelines that you can get through the coaching. Tuitions are good as far as u are in learning .. but with coaching u ll be able to understnd basic things that are important for the Test. Also Join some test series to compare the level.
