We know that induced emf in a rod of length L is BvL, where magnetic field B, velocity v and
length of rod are mutually perpendicular.
Induced emf E = BvL = (2 x 10 – 4)(2)(0.50) = 2 x 10 – 4 volt.

E = BvL = (2 x 10 – 4)(2)(0.50) = 2 x 10 – 4 volt.
