If aluminium and copper pipes are of same length and diameter ... same magnet dropped through them...in copper it takes more time to come out of other end, i myself have done this... please answer why is it so???I mean it is due to induced eddy currents that magnet slows down, but why it slows down more in copper??

As magnet moves down, magnetic flux changes through any cross section. Thus an emf is induced causing eddy currents. Since, Cu has less resistance, eddy current is high, which opposes the change (movement of magnet in the tube) (Remember, Lenz law). So, the magnet reaches slow in copper due to more opposition induced by the cu tube.
