The dielectric constant decreses if the temperature is increased. Explain this in terms of polarisation of the material.

Dear nikhil ,

   if we heat the dilelectric slab placed in a uniform electric field , the lattice and elctrons inside gain energy and then the electric field can more easily polarise the material . so electric field inside given by E/k decreases and so k increases.
