Hi Vini,
First, observe the square
adjacent sides are in series!
So 1/Ceq = 1/C1 + 1/C2
1/Ceq =1/1 +1/1
1/Ceq =2
Ceq = ½
same for another pair of adjacent sides Ceq = ½
Now this two Ceq and diagonal of the square are in parallel
you can just add them, so for the whole square C’eq = 1 + ½ + ½ = 2
Now two more capacitors are remaining, one from point P and one from point Q
the square (i.e. C’eq ) and this two capacitors are in series,
1/C”eq = 1/C’eq + 1/1 + 1/1 = ½ + 1/1 +1/1 = 5/2
1/C”eq = 5/2
C”eq =2/5 microfarad.....The effective capacitance between P and Q
let me know if you understood by approving :)
