time taken to complete one cycle is time period

for eg in case of simple pendulum time period of oscillation = 2 pi root(l/g)

Basically, you are going to substitute mw²x=the force in the situation . 
Then, apply T=2pi/w where w is the angular frequency , T is the time period of oscillation.
