weners theory basically tells about the primary and secondary vqlency.primary valency reprents oxidation state of metal whereas secondary coordination no.
ex-[CO(NH3)6]CL3
primary valency-3(Co^3+) three ionic bond
secondary valency -6 sorrounded by 6 ammonia molecule
it also helps to determine structure of molecule
