What basic & important concepts of inorganic chemistry should i know before i start coordination compound?

U must know all the atomic number elements first that from 1 to atleast 30.
Then U need to know writing the electrinic config. of these d block elements in order to start coordination compounds.
Learn the charges positive and negative both on monovalent, di-valent and trivalenta nd also polyvalent ions.
