Find the area bounded by the curves x^2+y^2=4 ,x^2.... Iit jee 1986 question . I dont understand which of the threepart should be taken into account and why? In books the area below x axix is taken but the other two are negleted.

If the question is area bounded between the curves, then you should calculate the area of the region between the curves
But if the question is area bounded by the curves with x- axis, then you need to calculate the area between the curves bouded by x-axis.
