Lorentz force acting on a particle is proportional to the velocity of the body.

Now the gain in kinetic energy due to moving through potential difference is
\dfrac{1}{2}mv^2=qV
\implies v\propto\sqrt{V}
Hence the force becomes\sqrt{5}F
