Dear student
Color blindness is generally much more common in boys than in girls, since the red and green pigment genes involved in color vision are located on the X chromosome.

HI FRIEND
Why is color blindness more common in males?
A daughter can become a carrier in one of two ways – she can acquire the ‘gene’ from a carrier mother or from a colour blind father. This is why red/green colour blindness is far more common in men than women. Blue colour blindness affects both men and women equally, because it is carried on a non-sex chromosome.

The genes that can give you red-green color blindness are passed down on the X chromosome. Since it's passed down on the X chromosome, red-green color blindness is more common in men. This is because: Males have only 1 X chromosome, from their mother.
