A 20cm long capillary tube is dipped in water. The water rises up to 8cm. If the entire arrangement is put in freely falling elevator, the length of water column in the capillary tube will be 8 cm 6cm 10cm 20cm

here l=20cm 
since elevator is falling down so g=0
now since g=0 ,H will be maximum that is eual to length of capillary tube that is 20 cm 
so option a

Dear student 
On freely falling elevator, the gravitational force on water will be zero therefore, surface tension will not be cancelled by any other force and, hence, water will be raised to full length of capillary tube.
