there is no clear answer to this question even if u are studying 20 hours a day there will be a guy somewhere who will be studying for 21 hours. so it all comes down to how much smart work not hard work u can put in your effort. you should try to solve quality problems without looking at their answers even if it takes you 1 hour to solve 1 problem at first. also u have to do a bit of thinking to find tricks and tips on how to solve the questions in as less time as possible once u solved it.
personally i studied for no less than 4 hours everyday – be it my birthday, diwali etc, consistency is what matters greatly--considerably more towards the end. Hope that helps and best of luck to u.
