Why in  angular momentum formula l =rp sin theta , sin theta is taken , I think sin the theta component only is helpful for momentum , am I right???

Dear Sushmita,
sinthetha is taken because the angular momentum is given as:
L = m(v x r)
hence the cross product therefore can be written as:
L = mvrsintheta obvious.
