In natural rubber, all the double bonds are present in cis-positions,it increases the elasticity of the rubber,as the chains are held together by weak van der waals forces and have coiled structure.However,Gutta-Percha is a natural rubber consisting of double bonds at trans position, thus making it hard and brittle.
